I'm noticing people are using the dA wall thing to try and grab my attention with regards to cock ups on my behalf with submissions. I'm sorry if I've messed it up, but please send a note telling me what's wrong, because I don't get notices when people post on the front page. If you send a note, I'll become aware of what the problem is alot quicker than me stumbling across the front page!

There appears to be something of a friendly rivalry between two of our members, and such a health display of competition encouraged me to start this contest I mentioned oh-so-long-ago.
So yes, I believe the club is long overdue for a new avatar and devID, so your task is to make a new one! As usual, entries will win via votes from members of the club, and the one with the most votes wins!

Let's see now... you have untillllllllllllllllllll the 1st of August to hand in your submissions! After that, there will be a week for votes (and any late submissions may be taken into account) before the winner is declared!

Hey everybody!

Small Press Idol Round 4 started today, July 9th. You can now pre-order Ninja Garden #0 at DimestoreProductions.com.

We're down to the final six and round 4 votes will be tallied by whoever sells the most copies. The winner will get a 4 issue min-series deal.

I should note that while we appreciate anybody who wants to buy more than one copy that your vote will only be counted once. So even if you bought five copies it will only count as one vote. I just don't want anybody here going and purchasing multiple copies thinking it'll help boost our numbers.

There are multiple methods of payment options from PayPal to credit card to personal check. But if you want to pay by personal check and want your vote to count, I recommend sending it as soon as you possibly can because the vote won't count until Dimestore has received payment.

The book will be available for the next two weeks. You have until July 23rd to order the book and have the order count as a vote.

One of our fellow aspiring comic artists needs your help!

"Kenneth Olson and I have entered our comic, Ninja Garden, into dimestoreproduction's Small Press Idol Competition. It's split up into 4 rounds and we're currently in Round 2. The winner will get a four issue mini-series deal.

Round 2 will be ending on May 13th and we're trying to round up some extra votes. We are currently in 6th place and trying to break into the top five at the moment. Competition has been steep and we've been doing all the promotional stuff and campaigning that we can think of. Votes have been steady for us, but just enough to help us maintain the #6 spot while we have other entries close behind. A vote here and there could mean the difference in our standing by the end of the round.

How to vote:

You have to sign up with dimestoreproductions at dimestoreproductions.com/ creating a username and password. Upon registering, you should receive an activation email shortly after. Make sure to check your spam folder / junk mail. If you don't receive an activation email, contact the site's owner here: SPA@dimestoreproductions.com And tell him that you can't log in.

My current internet service has gone down the shitter, making it very difficult (occassionally impossible) to submit your work effectively, so until the service is sorted out, I'm afraid any submissions won't be uploaded right away, and may take sometime.
Feel free to keep submitting, be please be aware that I'll only be able to upload so much while on the Uni computers, and submissions will be uploaded on a "first come, first served" sort of thing.
